FootballCV, the website database for footballers of all ages, used by managers of all levels, has helped hundreds of players progress their football career over the last 11 years and now it is offering you the chance to follow in their footsteps – for free.
Several youngsters have gone on to enjoy a promising career in league football thanks to a helping hand from FootballCV. Despite all being currently under 25, Billy Clark, Byron Webster and Giles Coke have amassed 450 appearances between them in the professional game in recent years and Manchester United's Chris Smalling is the highest profile member that has been on their books who has gone on to play at the top level in English football.
The Northamptonshire-based company behind the extensive player database, football trials and assessment days are giving away a free annual membership* each month until the end of the 2012/13 season and with that the chance to appear in front of scouts from all levels in a FootballCV trials match.
To enter, all you need to do is download the FootballCV Skills Spot and send in a short video of yourself performing a football trick. Each month the best entry, judged by a panel of football experts, will win a 12-month subscription to the website* and then every, three months, the three most recent monthly winners will go head-to-head in an online competition where the public will decide who gets to appear in a trials match - for free.
FootballCV Managing Director Graham Starmer explained: “The domestic football season is about to hit the final straight after Easter and then we have the European Championships and most importantly, the Olympics, coming to these shores. Whether people like or not, there won't be must respite from the game for the next 15 months.
“It's not unrealistic to suggest that a star may be unearthed from a 10-second clip. Every three months someone will win the chance to play in a trials game, and from that moment, their destiny is in their own hands.”
Most recently FootballCV oversaw the event management of the successful Samsung Win a Pro contract for the second season running and the Robins boss, Paolo Di Canio, commented: “We were all very impressed with their professionalism and quality of service. It was a pleasure to work with them and hopefully this is a relationship that the club will continue to enjoy in the years ahead.”
