CHRIS SMALLING

Within 15 minutes Fulham Manager Roy Hodgson, watching on the sidelines, had seen enough and offered him a professional contract.
Since then, Chris has been transferred to Premiership Champions Manchester United for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £10m, and has secured his place in the 1st team squad under Sir Alex Ferguson and is a regular in the senior England national team.
